Founding

Rheinland Air Service was founded in 1971 by Jürgen Ossmann and developed from Rheinland Air Düsseldorf, which at that time still focused entirely on general aviation.

In 1979, RAS launches its general aviation maintenance and spare parts wholesale business in Düsseldorf for a/c up to 5.7t.

A new management

In 1996, Johannes Graf von Schaesberg took over the company and continues to run it successfully today.

Line Maintenance

In 1998, line maintenance was then also introduced for Fokker 50 and BAe 146s.

Completion of the first hangar

With the completion of the first hangar, the stage was set for successful ATR maintenance.

ATR partner

RAS was named the first ATR Network Partner in Europe.

Completion Hangar II

With the completion of the second hangar in 2015, the range of services offered by Business Aviation Maintenance was significantly expanded and at the same time the Special Mission division was added as a new business segment.

50 years of existence

Today, RAS is a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) as well as aircraft sales, support and fuelling. More than 350 employees at 5 locations provide comprehensive and professional services in the field of business and commercial aviation for international customers.
